This Privacy Policy explains how (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the iOS application Document Sign: PDF Signature (the “App”).
- The App is designed to let you sign and manage PDF documents.
- Your documents and signatures can be processed on-device and/or stored in cloud services you choose (if enabled).
- If you enable analytics or ads, we may collect usage data to improve the App and measure performance.

2) Information we collect
A. Content you provide
- Documents (PDFs) you import or create in the App.
- Signatures / initials you draw, type, or import.
- Annotations you add (text fields, dates, checkmarks, stamps).
By default, these items may remain on your device. If you enable cloud features or backups, copies may be uploaded to your chosen provider.
B. App usage & diagnostics
- Usage data: screens viewed, feature interactions, session duration, crash events.
- Device info: device model, iOS version, language, region, app version.
- Approximate location (optional): inferred from IP address if using online services.
We use this information to fix bugs, improve performance, and understand how the App is used.
C. Purchases & subscriptions
If the App offers in-app purchases or subscriptions, payments are processed by Apple (App Store / StoreKit). We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive limited purchase information (e.g., subscription status, product identifier) to provide premium features.
D. Support communications
If you contact us, we may collect the information you provide (such as email address, message content, and optional attachments) to respond and troubleshoot.
3) How we use information
- Provide core features: importing PDFs, applying signatures, exporting signed documents.
- Sync & backup (if enabled): store and retrieve your documents across devices or cloud storage.
- Customer support: answer requests and resolve issues.
- Improve the App: analytics, performance monitoring, bug fixes.
- Security: prevent abuse, detect crashes, and protect users.
- Legal compliance: meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4) Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we process information based on one or more of the following: performance of a contract (to provide the App features), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the App), consent (for optional analytics/ads where required), and legal obligations.
5) Where your documents are stored
The App may store documents and signatures:
- On-device (local storage) — typical default.
- iCloud / Apple services — if you enable iCloud or use Apple Files integration.
- Third-party cloud providers — if you choose to connect or export to services like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc. (if supported).
When you export or sync to a third-party provider, their privacy policy applies to that provider’s handling of your data.
6) Sharing of information
We may share information in the following situations:
- Service providers (processors) who help operate the App (e.g., crash reporting, analytics, cloud hosting), only as needed to provide those services.
- Apple for in-app purchases/subscriptions and App Store operations.
- Legal & safety if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (we will notify you where required).
7) Analytics & advertising (optional)
We may use analytics to understand App performance and improve features. If the App shows ads or uses ad measurement, ad partners may collect or receive device identifiers and usage signals to measure ad performance and prevent fraud.
Option 1 (recommended if true): We do not show third-party ads and do not sell personal data.
8) Data retention
- Documents/signatures: stored as long as you keep them in the App or in your connected storage. You can delete them anytime.
- Diagnostics/analytics: retained for a limited period (typically 14–26 months) or as needed for troubleshooting and improvement.
- Support messages: retained as long as needed to address your request and for recordkeeping.
9) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data from unauthorized access.
10) Your choices & rights
- Delete content: delete documents and signatures inside the App and/or from your connected cloud storage.
- Permissions: you can control Photos/Files access and other permissions in iOS Settings.
- Analytics/ads opt-out: if available, disable in App settings or via iOS privacy settings.
- Access/erasure: depending on your location (e.g., EEA/UK), you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of certain data.

11) Children’s privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12) International transfers
If you use the App from outside the country where our servers or providers are located, your information may be processed in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
13) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where required, provide additional notice in the App.
